Come on a virtual fieldtrip to The Charles H. Wright Museum to a special interactive multimedia exhibit, “Voting Matters”. Participants will learn about the seminal roles African Americans have played in securing the right to vote in the United States from pre-Reconstruction through today’s Civil Rights movements. In addition participants will also explore voting related topics such as pros and cons of the Electoral College, Gerrymandering in the context of recent court decisions and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. This course is designed for Middle School and High School Teachers.
